About Us:
Omicron Engineering is one of Europe’s leading Lancia specialists. There are two sides to the business – the parts side which exports new, used and reproduction parts to over 70 countries worldwide, and the workshops which are capable of tackling any job from a routine oil and filter change to a full concours condition restoration.
Generally we do not buy and sell cars, but we often get asked the same questions, “I’m thinking of buying a Lancia, do you know any good ones for sale”, and “I’m thinking of selling my car, do you know anyone who may be interested”, and this is where our cars for sale service comes in. We simply act as an introduction service or marriage bureau.
Anyone with internet access can place an advert on our site. It will remain there for between 30 to 120 days, after the advert has expired it is automatically removed, unless removed beforehand by you or renewed. Photographs can be uploaded to support the advert. If the car sells early, the advert can be removed or edited accordingly. You can make as many revisions as you wish. We reserve the right to edit or remove adverts if necessary.
All adverts are checked to make sure they’re not abusive or incorrect – please don’t say recently serviced by Omicron when all we’ve done is supply a set of spark plugs by mail order 3 years ago (something very similar to this has happened). Any car that visits us for work has a history file which can be easily checked.
All we do is to provide an introduction and a repository for the information. This is as much as we normally get involved. However, we often act for buyers who want a professional inspection carried out on a car they’ve decided is the most suitable but want a second opinion before committing fully to the deal. We can also assist with registration queries and import / export of cars.

The small print:
All we do is provide an introduction, and as such cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies between the car and the advert. Buyers and sellers must take as many precautions as possible to make sure their interests are protected. Please be aware that you may receive seemingly too good to be true offers (often from overseas) who will offer to pay significantly more than your asking price, often via a third-party, on the proviso you will refund the difference. Please beware that is is an attempt to defraud you of the money – any cheque you may receive will be a forgery, but won’t be discovered by the banks immediately. Don’t discount all overseas enquiries though, there are genuine buyers all over the world, but you will quickly discover work out who is genuine and who isn’t.

Rather than lots of pseudo-legelese, here are some brief points:-
Adverts:
Acceptable adverts are ‘for sale’ or ‘wanted’ adverts for cars and motorbikes (in any condition), providing the vehicle is being sold as a complete entity. Unacceptable adverts are for cars being broken for parts, the offer of services, or adverts selling or requesting parts. Adverts for anything non-automotive would be removed without hesitation. Advert Duration:
Adverts will run for 30-120 days depending on the package selected. Adverts can be removed earlier either by yourself or a polite email to us.
Trade Sales:
Traders are more than welcome to post adverts following the same rules as everyone else. If you are a trader, we can incorporate your logo and a link to your website. However, some kind of acknowledgement, either a return link on your website or even a commission payout would be gratefully received. We help you, you help us…
The Cost:
There is a basic free advert and a range of premium adverts with extra features including featured listing which promotes your advert over the others. We cannot guarantee a sale, but these pages are amongst the most popular pages on our site, and all those visiting have an interest in Lancias or other Italian cars. Premium features, such as a professional inspection are not free – email for guidance for costs.
